At Rugs for Good, we believe business should be a force for good. Our mission goes beyond crafting beautiful, ethically made rugs—we are committed to creating a positive lasting impact on the lives of those in need.

Our Partnership with Shanti Bhavan
In 2023, our Founder Jess established the Shanti Bhavan Foundation in Australia, strengthening our partnership with the Shanti Bhavan Children’s Project in India. This incredible non-profit empowers children from India’s most disadvantaged communities to break the cycle of generational poverty through education, leadership, and compassion.

Prior to skyrocketing our impact through establishing the Foundation, we were able to help 17 children receive a full year of education, care, and support. 
But Rugs for Good exists to help as many children as we can, and now with the Foundation in place, we can accelerate our impact even further. Thanks to our 10,000+ customers and the Foundation, we have now raised nearly $150,000 for Shanti Bhavan—helping more children access the education and opportunities they deserve.

Ethical Sourcing & Child Labor Prevention
Beyond our work with Shanti Bhavan, we are proud partners of GoodWeave International. We pay a fee per rug to support their mission of ending child labor and ensuring artisans' children receive an education. With an estimated 160 million children engaged in child labor worldwide, we stand firmly against exploitation. Our GoodWeave certification guarantees ethical production and fair labor practices. Not only that, we pay our weavers 3x the industry standard—one more way our customers help change lives through every rug sold.
