Vayu - Sanskrit word that translates to 'wind' or 'that which flows'.
Vayu embodies a windswept plushness with an understated tribal pattern rendered in a high-low woollen pile.
Skilfully hand knotted by traditional weavers in Bhadohi, India out of 100% natural New Zealand wool and cotton. Luxuriously soft and warming underfoot with hand plaited tasseled ends, Vayu is sure to add texture and interest to any home.
Vayu's production process takes approximately 70 days from the initial yarn spinning stage to the last finishing point using 16th century rug making techniques and tools.
Ethically and fairly made with GoodWeave International certification. This collection is of the highest ethical standard in the rug industry.
Please note: The rug photographed was only temporarily rolled out for the photoshoot and there was not enough time to allow for it to rest, hence the lines. This usually takes a week to flatten and will not be a permanent feature.
