Are natural fibre rugs right for my home?

You can find a natural rug for any space in your home. Perhaps you're looking for an affordable, sturdy option for your dining room? Comforting shag rugs for your cosy living room? Or striking geometric patterns to create a focal point in your sleek open-plan space? Natural rug fibres like jute, wool, cotton and linen bring a organic feel to your space, often featuring earthy tones and calming neutral colours. A wool rug provides plush texture underfoot, while jute rugs offer durability for high-traffic areas.

What is the difference between handtufted and handknotted rugs?

Their differences stem from the way they're made. The process of making a handtufted rug begins with a canvas stretched over a frame. The design is then traced onto the canvas and artisans use a tufting tool to punch strands of yarn into the canvas. Meanwhile, handknotted rugs are crafted, knot by knot, forming a thick and longer-lasting pile.

How long do your rugs last?

Durable and dense, wool rugs typically last the longest. Made from strong natural fibres, they stand the test of time even in the busiest of homes. With proper care, our high-quality, handwoven rugs can last for years or even decades.

Can I use any rug as an outdoor rug?

Not all rugs are made for outdoor spaces. Synthetic rugs made from nylon and polypropylene are perfect because they're resistant to stains and mildew. They absorb less water than natural fibre rugs and dry much quicker after getting wet. Our washable rugs, made from polyester, are ideal choice for outdoor rugs.

What size rug do I need?

Start by measuring your space and deciding where you want your furniture to sit on the rug. In living rooms, opt for a rug that either fits all your furniture pieces on top or at the least the front legs. This creates a cohesive and inviting feel. Runner rugs are perfect for hallways or mudrooms, while a larger rug can be used in open-plan areas or big living rooms. Speak to a member of our team to ensure you choose the right size rug for your living space.

How do I choose a style?

Find the balance between your personal preferences and the atmosphere you want to achieve. Do you prefer modern or traditional, minimalist or eclectic, vibrant patterns or neutral colours? Choose a rug that complements the overall style of your space. Moroccan rugs and oriental rugs can add visual interest, while solid colours offer adaptability. Plush textures are great for cosy bedrooms, while robust jute rugs are practical for busy dining rooms. It all comes down to how the rug will be used in your home!

Slow Weave

Handwoven in small batches by expert artisans in India, this collection is beyond luxury and is of the highest ethical standard in the rug industry. These natural designer rugs, made from high-quality jute and wool, will bring a touch of elegance to any living space. They are available in various shapes, styles and sizes, from a versatile, black runner rug to a chic abstract patterned centrepiece.

Bhakti

Named after the Sanskrit word meaning 'love and devotion', the Bhakti collection celebrates masterful workmanship. Encapsulating timeless beauty, they are handloomed using blush abrash-dyed New Zealand wool and feature a handmade cotton fringe. These floor rugs come in a velvety mauve, rustic olive, delicate oyster and radiant gold, bringing a sense of warmth and cosiness to create an inviting atmosphere in various interior styles.

Southwest

Offering the perfect blend of relaxed coastal living and rugged beauty, this selection of modern rugs features warm earthy tones that reflect the beautiful landscapes of California, Arizona, New Mexico and the Pacific Northwest. Browse area rugs in deep chocolates, soft ivories and sunbaked beiges to achieve the ultimate contemporary home decor.

Lustre Luxe

Made of premium TENCEL™, these rugs are ideal for the most conscious buyers. Ethically handwoven in India using sustainable materials and ancient techniques, these minimalist-inspired rugs will bring a subtle feeling of luxury to your home. Choose from six bold colours, including sapphire and mulberry, to match your personality and preferences perfectly.
